Ledger Nano X Genesis Block Edition

Overview

These are factory sealed Ledger Nano X units in the Genesis Block Limited Edition - identified by the circular “Genesis Block” medallion printed on the box. Never opened. I’m selling them from my personal collection, exactly as they arrived.

About This Edition

Ledger offered the Genesis Block edition to early customers who pre-ordered the Nano X when it first launched in 2019. The first batch shipped from Ledger’s warehouse on May 15, 2019, with general retail availability following about two weeks later.

The name and the medallion artwork - a miner with a pickaxe next to a Bitcoin embedded in rock - reference Bitcoin’s genesis block, the first block ever mined on the network. It ties the device to the original Nano X launch rather than to any outside brand.

This edition was never sold as a standalone retail item. It went only to customers who pre-ordered ahead of the Nano X’s public release, so it stopped once that initial batch shipped.

Why Collectors Are Interested

The Genesis Block edition marks the earliest run of one of Ledger’s most popular devices, tied to its original 2019 launch rather than a later reissue. Sealed units from that specific pre-order batch are harder to find today, years after the launch window closed.

Finding one factory sealed, with the medallion print intact, is uncommon this long after the initial release.

Factory sealed. Shrink wrap intact. Never opened, never plugged in.

Stored in a private collection since acquisition.

Notes

If you plan to use one, the firmware will need updating on first connection, since these have been sealed since 2019. That’s a normal consideration for any device stored this long - not a defect.
