Overview

This is a factory sealed Ledger Nano X in the Samsung MX1 Genesis Edition - black casing with a gold logo. Never opened. I’m selling it from my personal collection, exactly as it arrived.

About This Edition

Samsung and Ledger announced this collaboration in January 2023, timed to the Galaxy S23 launch on February 1. It was sold as part of a “Web3 Starter Bundle” through Amazon in Germany and other parts of Europe, which included a 100 EUR Amazon voucher alongside the device.

Retailer listings for this edition put the production run at 1,000 units. The design departs from a standard Nano X with its black-and-gold finish, tied to the MX1 name.

Ledger and Samsung haven’t run this specific bundle since, and it isn’t part of Ledger’s ongoing shop.

Why Collectors Are Interested

This ties a hardware wallet to a specific phone launch window rather than an open-ended retail run, bundled through a single regional retailer rather than sold broadly. A reported cap of 1,000 units, combined with the black-and-gold design unique to this edition, sets it apart from Ledger’s standard colorways.

If you plan to use this device, the firmware will need updating on first connection, since it has been sealed since 2023. That’s normal for any device stored this long - not a defect.
